This is an exceptional breeding that will produce some top-quality hunting dogs, pets, and field trial prospects. Maxx has had a decorated field trial career. He is approaching 100 all-age points for his career, and received a 2nd place finish in the 2024 National Open Championship. He spends a large amount of time in the Dakotas in the fall and is a really nice dog to hunt behind and spend time with. Lu is used in our ND guided upland and waterfowl hunts. She has finished a couple of trials and has a couple of passes in Master hunt tests, but we haven’t campaigned her on a full-time basis. She’s a fabulous retriever and is very good on moving birds. Both dogs have nice tender mouths, good hips, and are DNA clear of Spaniel Genetic issues.
